Good to know
Is CostBuddy really free?
Yes. Groups with up to 10 people and 50 expenses are free, with every core feature included. No credit card needed.
Does CostBuddy handle my money?
No. CostBuddy keeps track of who owes whom. You pay each other the way you like: a bank transfer via the SEPA QR code, Payconiq or cash. Then you record it in the app.
Who can see my IBAN?
Only members of your groups, and only when they pay you. You can remove your IBAN at any time.
Does everyone in the group need the app?
Each member creates a free account and joins with the group code or an invitation email. That way everybody sees their own balance.
Which devices are supported?
Windows 10 and 11 and Android today, as early-access downloads. CostBuddy is coming to the Microsoft Store, Google Play and the App Store for iPhone.
Which languages and currencies?
CostBuddy speaks 15 European languages and starts in the language of your device. Each group has its own currency, from the euro to other EU currencies.
